Simplicity is everything, and PopSockets® came to the rescue when business being done on smartphones was becoming the new normal. With millions of different colors and designs, we look at the socket exclusively sold on the NBC Sports Store. Starting things off, you're looking at a phone socket that's less than $10.
While it works like most phone sockets, the sturdy and firm feeling of this socket keeps your one-finger texting or typing as steady as you wanted. What's cool is that the socket's adhesive can be re-located to another part of your phone when it comes to, say, taking photos. The packaged instructions also shows that you can use it as a stand, if you ever need to watch a live stream, a video or when recording your own content. Funny because I bought a stand-alone smart device stand that holds both a smartphone and a tablet, so knowing that this socket can be used as a stand is convenient without having to carry and drag another piece of equipment.
Of all designs, why NBC Sports? Some of you know, in case you didn't, one of my personal favorite sports network, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), will completely shut down by December 31, 2021. This announcement was said by NBC Sports president himself Pete Bevacqua, released on January 22, 2021. The network's revenue dropped by a heart-dropping 19%, impacted by the pandemic. That's a hard hit, if I ever saw one in recent times.
With that said, it's a treat that I can show my support and admiration to a network known for its gorgeous sports TV graphics and great coverage of Premier League, NHL and Mecum Auto Auctions, to name a few. I do miss the older, SportsCenter-like format of ProFootballTalk, as we've discussed here. Nevertheless, this socket will spread proper fanaticism without its design looking too "loud."
We are not affiliated with the NBC Sports Store, at least not yet, but click here to purchase yours! With the shutdown of NBC Sports Network, this may become a collector's item even though we're not sure how long this item will last.
